Sad place alright. Siam reap was like the wild west. Ankor wat was unreal, nearly fell off the top of it coming down the steps!
Poverty was bad.
Still did the firing range which looking back I probably shouldn't have. Not as bad as the Yanks bazooking cows which I still don't know if it was an urban myth or not.

Just pointing out that the people who tend to make those stupid generalisations are usually the ones afraid to leave the house for the majority of their sad existences. So it seems a little silly for you to be partaking in it while simultaneously bigging up those places. Bangkok is the most visited city on earth like, not everyone is a creep.

Agreed, I'd agree with Dan that Angkor Wat is special but those sad places stick with me more too. Really makes you appreciate how lucky we have it. I remember on my first visit to Tuol Sleng prison there were a large group of survivors touring it too and looking at their faces would make you very angry at how many Western countries, namely Sweden, dealt with one of the most disgusting regimes in human history.

Cambodia has never really recovered and the political situation there is still a joke. Many Cambodians still have an odd relationship with the truth surrounding the era though and bizarrely blaming the Vietnamese for Pol Pot is quite common. Many Vietnamese get pissed off then as they feel they were the only country who really did something to stop it.

Anyway would agree some of the temples in the Siem Reap area are amazing but yeh unfortunately too crowded with tourists these days and the Cambodians are busy selling off anything they can to the Chinese. Some very hard hitting yet worthwhile places to visit from the Khmer Rouge era too.

Myanmar is extremely beautiful in places too. Much quieter compared to other countries in the region but some really cool places to visit too. The people were very friendly too.
Check out the sex tourist here la

It reads like a Gary Glitter Asian tour.

Pepe I know you are rattled off your nut by me for years now but you're really going to have to do better with the WUM attempts, seriously weak effort.

I would also recommend you go check out some of those places too. I'm sure Dan + all the other people in this thread who have been there would agree.

You live in dumpland where everyone is on the gear. How can they give consent while strung out?
