Default MrScruff

After a slow start in the Savoy last Sunday night, Mr Scruff really didn’t disappoint. Hard and all as it is to get that place going he had it rocking by the end of the night. Looked and sounded like he was having a good time himself too, went from uber-funky stuff to trouser jazz to reggae type stuff, not a one platform candidate by any means.

Also, KUDOS for the little touches that made it a memorable night, the place names on the screens and the freebies but most of all this:

Summed it up prefectly-The place names were class and the ska at the end was unreal-along with a clever use of the much pillaged "People of Ireland" speech by the Pope. I should have news later in the week about a recording of the gig, he said he'd send it over for broadcast on my show-i'll keep ya informed!

ya I really enjoyed his selection... I heard a few people bitching afterwards that they expected more etc. etc.

I really did think he played some nice stuff to be fair. No cheese, and the reggae vibes at the end were tops. Loved the drum and bass as well...
