Another win for Dan Martin. Things are coming good in this part of the season.

Nicholas Roche and Philip Deignan both start in the Vuelta a Espana (tour of Spain) on Saturday evening. Roche is doing two grand tours in a season for the first time in his career. It'll be interesting to see how he'll get on. It's unlikely that he'd replicate the form he had at the TdF, but if he did, a podium place wouldn't be out of the question. Roche is team leader again, and this time there'll be no Gadret!

Deignan has a lot to prove as well, having had a really badly disrupted season. He'll be hoping to show that his stage win and top ten overall were no fluke last year. His team looks like it's going to fold at the end of the season, so he'll be hoping to impress a few people.

Best of luck to both.

Roche is going well so far, things have only just started but he's just 10 seconds off the top ten at the moment. He finished 6th yesterday, in a stage with a tough finish, so he gained a few seconds on most of the peleton.

Deignan didn't do so well, finishing 19 minutes down, and is 21 minutes down on the overall.

Another top ten stage finish for Roche in the Vuelta a Espana, he's now just 3 seconds off the top ten overall. He should overtake a few people above him, but is likely to be overtaken by one or two behind him as well, but a top ten is a very realistic possibility.

Very early days yet man. Looks to be in good form though, unlike some who are only using it as late season training. Hello Andy!

Oh, no doubt, but realistically the field is not as strong as in the tour and if it hadn't been for the Gadret incident he'd have finished a lot closer to a top ten place. He looks to have retained his form as well.

Andy is making no effort. I'd say he's saving all his energy to help Frank in the mountains and go for a stage himself.

Roche up to 8th. Held on well until it was really turned at the steepest part. Made time on Frank Schleck, which was great going.
