Ah, wicklow 200, west cork 200, that craic. was training for etape du tour but had to pull out due to injury a week before heading out there, with all the training done. disgusted.

i do the long spinns me self, but i try and pick courses with lots of hills/mountains, such as nice. i have no areo at all, and tough climbs suit me . turns the avantage my way so to speak.


that wicklow 200 is a right bastard. a good friend of mine made the mistake of doing that 4 weeks b4 ironman austria last year. he never quite recovered in time and had a very bad time on bike.

I found the West Cork harder than the Wicklow. The road surface was awful and because it was new there were fewer riders, so you were effectively on your own.

The ring of kerry is very enjoyable, easy enough, not very hilly, but good craic and all. Great food stops!

with stops and feckacting around, about 9 hours I think in Wicklow, did West Cork 2 hours faster as far as I recall.

Back down to 5th today! He needs to get in a break late on, 30 seconds will put him in a podium position. I'd say he's well marked at the moment, he's been one of the most visible guys in the podium in the last few weeks.
