Smile The Japanese Popstars & Justin Robertson May 21st - The Savoy

Streetlife presents :

The Japanese Popstars : Main Room

& Justin Robertson in the Lobby

A huge Festival Favourite the Japanese Popstars top the bill at the first Streetlife Party of 2010 in Cork on the back of an amazing year. A sell out American Tour, live shows on BBC Radio 1 , signing to Virgin international and a string of Australian Shows have forged the Jap Stars into a white hot dance music force to reckoned with !

They are joined in the lobby by Justin Robertson. From remixing the Stone Roses right up to his Revtone album last year Bugged Out resident Justin has continued to stand out as a dance music measurement of quality! For this party he is doing one of his rare funk and soul dj sets in the lobby.

Advance tickets 12 euros on tickets.ie

A bit more about the Jap Stars"

A multi-award winning act with a reputation for a blistering live show, combined with recent remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode, Beyonce, Groove Armada and Benny Benassi; The Japanese Popstars come with an arsenal of techno and electronic monsters under their belt! Hailing from Northern Ireland they have toured all over the globe in the past year off the back of their debut album "We Just Are", which saw the band completely destroy major festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Oxegen (Ireland), Fuji Rock (Japan), Exit (Serbia) and Trans Musicales (France). 2010 has kicked off already with an 'Essential New Tune' on Pete Tongs Radio 1 with a new album to follow with some rather large label news...Be prepared...

Not to put a downer on it but I went to see him in Amsterdam a few years ago for nostalgic shits & giggles. Possibly the worst gig I've ever been at and I've been at some howlers.

In fairness though, it was Amsterdam and I was never his biggest fan back in the Henrys days..

I'm not 100% sure but didn't he play the Savoy before? Or maybe Redz?

I sometimes get him confused with Saunderson..
