The Sunday Times reporting today that John Reynolds is due to launch a court bid next week to regain control of Electric Picnic.

Report also says lineup for this year's EP will be announced April 15th.

Interesting. I presume MCD paid for a stake in EP? POD must have acts provisionally booked to say they are going to announce a line up so soon

Technically it's not MCD though is it, it's Festival Republic who are owned in part (maybe all) by MCD. I think. Apples and oranges though.

LN-Gaiety Holdings own 71% of EP - LN-Gaiety Holdings is owned by Denis Demond and Live Nation. LN-Gaiety claim to have a majority shareholding since 2009, Festival Republic don't have a shareholding it seems.

Reynolds says that, as part of the shareholders agreement, he would remain as festival director, but this has been breached as has agreement that he could buy his share back.

It was Desmond who said the new lineup would be announced next month, not Reynolds.

They'll have to stick Picturehouse on the main stage at this point.
