Mc Swiney's death had the same effect in creating a climate of change as that of Sands and his comrades had in 81...both changed Irish history for ever!

No comparison with the shower who operated during the period 1970 - 2005.

Interesting that so many bishops attended the funeral - I assume all the tall hat people were bishops.

Same army same cause no difference.....just better armed and Semtex. Anyone that thinks different have swallowed the pro Brit line hook and all!

Few months after one of them fuckers excommunicated the volunteers of the Cork Brigade!....Bishop Coghlan a disgrace to the church!

I don't see how they've been tarnished. Just because the Provisional IRA used a similar name doesn't mean they had anything whatsoever to do with them. Sinn Fein of post Irish independence and the Sinn Fein of the first Dail have nothing to do with each other either.

Love footage like that. Massive crowds in London, more so than Cork, though the back and tan enforced police state probably explains that a bit.
