Poor Yannis was Finance Minister for only a few months and there is the story of when he went to the Meeting of E.U. Finance Ministers and had nothing prepared as he went off on a lecture about Marxism and finance.

The E.U. head had to phone the Greek P.M. to see if this nutter was actually the Minister.

He was laughed out of office and is now on the chicken and chips lecture circuit/rent a quote for €€€

indeed. He was minister in 2015, when the global economy was benign and the recovery as seen in 2014 was underway:

Yeah, good one Yanis, let's listen to you.

Yes, and he now has to say something that sounds both slightly credible AND slightly controversial at the same time to keep up his profile.

That and the whole planet somehow suddenly adheres to his theories thus proving that he was right all along.

Which is never going to happen.

It was all a good old jolly heading off to the sunlit uplands with their economy in some shape but now all has changed utterly and their Government is hopeless.

This will apply to all crops outside cereals.

Indeed, and as you have predicted a dozen times, the pound hurtles to parity with the euro by strengthening again to 88p

Meanwhile, still no eurozone emergency package agreed, no budget agreed and the top scientist at the ERC has quit in disgust at his Brussels overlords response to the virus

#Unity

I forgot to ask, how's the Schengen zone holding up

Ah yes eurozone success story Greece, it only has a debt to GDP ratio of 180%, what a scorcher Yanis's successors have played.

I wonder how eurozone success story Italy will be getting on by the end of the year.
