In terms of actually playing the sport i think soccer has recently overtaken GAA in numbers but in terms of supporting an Irish based team, it's GAA.

Its GAA without doubt. Theres a GAA club in every god foresaken village in the country.

Theres teams in places as remote as Araglin, Boherbue, Ballydesmond, Rockchapel....

Need I say more??
