Default Music @ the Everyman: Autumn

Not one, not two but Three tribute acts, Elton John, Adele and Johnny Cash.

Im sorry but thats terrible. They have a good venue there and are absolutely phoning in the bookings.

Id expect that kind of thing in a pub not in Cork's answer to the Olympia.
Total lack of effort and inagination.

Would agree, especially as it's nice venue. Shame about the music lineups. The Opera House does a lot of nostalgia/cover band stuff as well. To be fair, a lot of them are external promoters hiring out the OH so if the venues are offered a big wodge of guaranteed cash instead of taking a risk themselves you could see why their board would encourage that. Maybe it's a similar mentality among management at the Everyman.

Drop them a line. You might get an insightful response!

Don’t belive so Jim, they originally announced there would be two days of events, (fri & sat)but only one event was actually announced and later cancelled- Rochard Reed Perry- he had an illness in his family.

cool, my point that they're open to non-tribute and credible band music stands though in that it would have gone ahead had he not had some family emergency

Its some list in fairness. I was at one a while back in the “Inkwell Theatre”, in Minane Bridge, lovely little venue, about 120 seated. It has plays and other stuff, but they do have music events in there also.
