Eat:

Breakfast;

East Avenue Bakehouse - Bold St.
Baltic Bakehouse - Bridgewater Street
Moose Coffee - Dale St.

Lunch/Dinner;

Mowgli - Bold St. - this is the original location, smallish space, no reservations. They have a second spot on Water St. I have eaten in both places - no dip in quality.

Free State Kitchen - Maryland St.
Casa Italia - Stanley St.

Pubs:

Traditional:

Lion Tavern - Tithebarn St.
Belvedere - Sugnall St.
The Dispensary - Renshaw St.

Craft Beer/Modern:

Black Lodge - Kitchen St.
Gibberish - Caryl St.
Dead Crafty Brew Co. - Dale Street

Mixture of both:

Ship And Mitre - Dale St. - great beer but the food isn't so good.
The Grapes - Knight St. (do not mistake the Grapes in the city centre for this one. The Grapes on Matthew St. is a kip)

If you have to go clubbing or whatever go to Seel/Slater St. rather than Matthew St/Concert Sq.

Do:

Tate Liverpool
Museum Of Liverpool
R.C. Cathedral (aka Paddy's Wigwam)

Don't bother your hole with the Beatles Story thing down the dock - waste of time/money.

If you get a clear day, walk to the top of Hardman's St and take in the view. Some of those pubs and Free State Kitchen are nearby.

Have a good one.

Where are you staying? I might be able to point out a decent nightcap spot.

If there's 3 of you going you might as well get a taxi - it'll be about £20 - £22 inc tip (unless you're a bunch of miserable fuckers) to most of the city centre (inc. the airport toll).

The 500 bus is a good option too - about 3 quid each, I think. Maybe less. Stops in Liverpool One. Takes about 35 mins to the taxi's 20.

The 82A bus will go to/from the airport as well but it stops at every single stop and goes through Speke, Garston and Wavertree before going to Liverpool One bus station.

Outside the arrivals door buses to the right. Taxis to the left. A guy working for the airport will point you to the next available taxi.
