It would be. That's why I didn't claim that.

His form this season is back close to his best.

United were a shambles at the back last year. He made some uncharacteristic blunders sure but on balance he is streets ahead of the three named and would walk into their respective teams.
Both Alisson & Ederson have far better form over the last 18 months and have far better distribution with their feet (...which is key to how City & Liverpool play).

I doubt either Pep or Klopp would swap their guys for De Gea at this point in time.

Allison and Ederson are decent but not in the same class as De Gea. Only a blinkered fool would argue otherwise.

Kepa is better than De Gea?

But you did strangely claim he's currently the fourth best in the epl.

In 17–18, David de Gea saved Manchester United 19 points which allowed them to attain 2nd in the Premier League. Based on performances and chances, they should have achieved 6th with 62 points.
This was the biggest difference maker performance in Europe by a single player.

I thought he was the best player in the world that year but his form since has dropped off dramatically. He is the third best in the league now.

Tbh, he had few wobbles towards back end of last season but has generally been excellent this season, albeit won't have been happy with C Palace winner a few weeks back. MU probably would have dropped points v Leicester if not for him!
