Great win last night. I think neither team would have wanted this type of game so early in the season before they are fully up to speed. Probably even more pressure on the home team to get the points in this top 4 mini league, so it was an important win especially with Arsenal and Chelsea coming up soon. City have a very difficult start so will gain a lot of confidence and momentum from last night.

Liverpool dominated most of the first half but once City went ahead, they were able to stay very much in control. I don't think City played THAT well but it was a very mature and professional performance. Very early but they looked like a team that has embraced being champions as opposed to being burdened by it last time around. Jovetic was excellent last night. Apart from his goals, his moment, enthusiasm and link up play was brilliant. TBF, he was the same last year when fit and made a lot of goal scoring contributions off the bench. Can be a huge player this year if he stays fit. Fernando was great again IMO, looks like an excellent signing - he was everywhere.

Still have Mangala, Sanga, Lampard and Negredo (eventually) to come into the team/squad and Fernandinho and Kun to get fully up to speed. Things look to be going well at the moment but things can change very quickly where City are involved!

the likes of lolpool are manyoo are not big games anymore, sure we will piss all over manyoo like we always do at old toilet and god only knows what kind of a score we'll run up at home. We played like champions last night, confident and assured. We have only one rival for the title, and that is at the Bridge

Thought Man City were very poor for 40 minutes. Champions playing at home, don't think they had a shot on goal. Stream started giving trouble and I saw none of the 2nd half. Sounded quite different.
