Surprised to hear that. He is there since the start of Counihans term as far as I recall.

the shine is coming off the "anyone has to be better than Counihan" brigade.

Unfortunately jams it will take this crowd at least 2 years to realise it. Watch the excuses role in for the dual players, same old faces on the line etc

Totally agree with that but...he was accompanying Cubby at both the drawn and replayed West Cork final. May be noting to it but Peadar dont waste time with people he wont gain from!

This news is not encouraging.I said Cubby would need to assemble a dynamic management team and now were hearing that he's keeping Peader Healy on board. It sounds like it's a case of the same old shit with Conor Counihan taken out of the equation.Im not sure that this will win over the confidence of the players. This is all just rumours but if Cuthbert doesn't put together a competent backroom team then the players won't buy into this.I'm giving Cubby the benefit of the doubt by hoping that he is good enough.Mikey Foley in the Times yesterday thinks that this fella is the master tactician that we have all been waiting for!Time will tell.

Well, we should probably wait and see too I suppose. If Peader Healy is kept on but he gets a top notch person in to do the majority of the coaching, then Peader staying on is not too bad, he may have a strong impact to make in some other area. If Peader is being kept on for coaching reasons then we've basically got the crappy tactical set up we had under Counihan, with a manager the players have no respect for. It would be alarm bells stage at that point.
