Talk is he is not at all happy with his game at present.

Paddy can feel slightly hard-done by but at the same time his past Ryder cup record is below average and he simply didn't come near enough to automatically qualifying.
Paddy was very competitive in the Majors this year but his putting is very suspect. I wonder is he a bit relieved to miss out - with his recent poor record, he would be under huge pressure.

Olazabal is an absolute gob-shite for making such disparaging comments about the state of Paddy's game - I never saw a Ryder Cup Captain act in this manner. He didn't need to say anything just that there were a number of players in the running for the wild cards and he's pick those that he felt could do the best job for Europe.

I'll still be supporting Europe but it would make me sick to see that Spanish Git lift the Ryder Cup.

The Sky guys were pathetic that they didn't have the balls to speak ther minds and condemn Olazabal's inane conduct.

Repped. If he simply didn't pick him then it is hard to argue. But there was no need for the comments. It give credence to the fact that there is bad blood there.

What I find absolutely amazing is that no-one is prepared to have a word in Olazabal's ear and tell him to shut the fuck up. He started mouthing before and during the PGA and continued before the Barclays.

He's only making a stick to beat himself with - Everyting is fine now but if the Yanks do the business as is likely and Colsarts sh....ts the course - then the criticism will start.

Harry is not a great Ryder cup player, his record is not good.
Ten and a half points from twenty five matches

It's poor and he was a Monty pick the last time but did not justify his inclusion. Colsarts is much higher in the world rankings and was close to auto qualifying. The argument for Harrington is that he was back to near his best for the majors except for putting and he seemed to sort that in the Barclays. Plus Colsarts is a rookie and going to the US as a rookie is a big ask.

But no-one can argue with Olazabal's pick - but he was way out of line to criticise a players form before and durinig a major and during the very important Barclays. It's Harrington's livlihood and he nor any other European Player should be treated in this manner by that ignorant, boorish Spanish Toe-rag. It was personal and it undermines the ethos of the Ryder Cup.

Olazabal is a disgrace to the game and his country.

Paddy finished 19th on the list, well down the pecking order. His Ryder Cup record is also very poor. He's won 2 points out of the last 13. The story about Kaymer is bs and lazy journalism.

Whatever happens Olazabal did the right thing, not picking Harrington.

Miguel martin had to drop out due to injury in 1997 and was replaced by the next player on the list, Olazabal.

Colsaerts is the longest hitter Europe have and Medinah is going to be a very long course.

Also an excellent putter and won the Volvo Matchplay this year.

Correct pick from Ollie, but he could have kept his mouth shut until the picks were unveiled.
