Does anyone here really want to get to a final and absolute humiliation in all fairness. Do we need young players with possible good futures ahead of them under a new Manager need any more horrible defeats just to tick a box in the Super 8's.

Pity he's hasn't a proper Inter County set up to help him maximise that talent.

They cast the net out far and wide when looking for potential candidates with that appointment.

To be fair lads, who the fuck else would take that job? Who did ye expect, Jim McGuinness?
Counihan is actually a decent enough appointment even though he more or less fell into the role. He knows the ground well enough, he's seen the top of the tree and has worked with underage squads a good bit. He has never neglected the club in the midst of all that either and has been heavily involved with Aghada.
It's a huge job for sure, but there wasn't a hope in hell anyone from outside Cork was going to be taking that job.
