I've gone with Topflight a couple of times and they're grand. Just get a brochure off a travel agency in town. You pay way over the odds by booking it through a company, can nearly get it at half the price if you organise it yourself. I agree though, real dose getting it all organised yourself though...

Was in Obergurgl in Austria two years ago, Austria again last year, can't for the life of me remember where. I'll find out for ya.

Austria is a good enough option, cheap to fly to Munich and get a train then. Austria is way cheaper than France, say. You can actually get a pint in the resorts for less than you would in Ireland. Try that in France!

I have skied in Bulgaria - very cheap & cheerful! Good for beginners to ski, very cheap to eat and drink out. Probably not ideal for advanced skiers, and doesnt really cater to well for boarders.

bulgaria is cheap, bad for skiing though, a guy i know is headed there in january. the resort has 10 runs, fucking 10.

Im headed to avoriaz in january, its on the border so we can ski switzerland and france.
more than enough runs, and the town is car free so we can ski all around the place.
