You either need to ....

1) Enable Quick Launch Toolbar -> (right click on an open area of the Taskbar and left click on Quick Launch so it has a checkmark)

or

2) If already enabled and icon not there....
Create the file Show Desktop.scf using Notepad in
C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\ Application Data\Microsoft\Inter net Explorer\Quick Launch

Show Desktop.scf
Code:
[Shell] Command=2 IconFile=explorer.exe,3 [Taskbar] Command=ToggleDesktop

Shortcuts on PC are not by default like Mac, for example Holding Shift during boot up = Boot safe mode or by pass system files. But when putting in an audio CD, will prevent CD Player from playing.

Some more usefull:
Shift + Del: Delete programs/files without throwing into the recycle bin.
WINKEY + Tab: Cycle through open programs through the taskbar.
WINKEY + CTRL + F : Display the search for computers window.
Press Alt-Tab repeatedly to cycle through larger icons representing open programs—even some that don't show up on the taskbar. Pressing Shift-Alt-Tab cycles the other way, in case you missed the application you wanted.

My all time favourite: Alt + F4 will shut down open applications one after another just keep on going, you will finally end up turning off XP... Then it is time to turn on a Mac
