Meanwhile, Cork could have easily entered the IFC winners into Munster junior in recent yrs and nobody would have batted an eyelid.. But they skipped that grade for some reason.
To continue with this trend, next year the winners of the 1st ranked competition, 3rd and 5th in Cork club football will enter the Munster Senior, Inter and Junior club competitions.

Anyway, this weekend I'd give Kilshannig a good shot at winning. Think they are very well equipped to take on Na Gaeil. Can't see Templenoe losing the Intermediate game.
Kerry have a significant advantage but not an unfair one.Nobody can tell them how many teams they can have in their championships or what label to put on them. Their third grade championship is Junior. Ours is premier intermediate. If Cork clubs were somehow less offended at the thought of playing 'junior', we could do the same. We could easily enter our Premier intermediate champions in Junior next year (in theory). Labels doesn't imply a universal standard. The Monaghan senior hurling champions play junior for example..

Kilshannig weren't at the same level as they were in the county. 4th week out on the trot for a lot of their team who are playing u21 combined with the celebrations showed.
They had chances but kicked bad wides, missed 4 very handy frees and really should have been leading early in the 2nd half if they'd taken their scores. The wing back O Shea usually kicks a good point but he missed 3 scorable ones first half today , in fairness he gets on a lot of ball though and looks a good player. I imagine he'll be part of the u20 set up next year.
Once na Gaeil got their 2nd goal Kilshannig were chasing goals.
Jack Barry's kick passing in the 1st half was quality, O Connor showed his quality and the corner forward scored 2-2 from play I think ( I gave him the 1st goal, not 100% twas him ).

The usual excuse when teams are beaten in Munster c/ship. You can be guaranteed they took it seriously but were out classed.
