I know next to nothing about cars and am in the market for a new one. What sites would people recommend to get the lowdown on what to watch out for on various 2nd hand models? I've been using Honest John's but are there more?

Just a matter of what you're thinking of getting, if you have a budget of 2k you'd want a keener eye than someone with 10k purely because you'll need to watch out for more on older cars. Italian cars can be problematic. Best keep to either Japanese cars or Fords or VWs. Peugeots and Citroens are grand but not for everyone.
