What type of Dell? I have some screens - but if you open the lid up and look at the actual make of screen i.e. samsung? The screens are generally third party....

He'll/She'll bust the head off you now too, if you don't shut up!
He has no need FU is more than capable of often fitting his foot in his mouth without any help from me....
The other alternative for the original poster is to search around on ebay for spares/repair laptops.. I needed some spares for my old Inspiron 6000 a few weeks ago.. picked up two for less than 100stirling...
tip: look for UK sellers only and read fully the info given... I'll repeat that Read the description given in full!!
and do ask any questions you think you need to. If they are saying UK post only. ask if they will post to Ireland. most will but do check first...[manners like]....
If you use a bit of common sense you should be able top fix the screen for less than a 100 euro....Plus have other spares...

Once you've paid for a new screen, postage, fitting etc... you're talking about a figure in excess of 200 quid.
The OP is obviously quite stupid - s/he didn't even have the presence of mind to search Google her/himself - so I would reckon the laptop s/he uses is very basic.
I wouldn't recommend pouring 200 euros into a low value machine.

and as I've just pointed out it can be done for far less. I paid out less than 100st. [around 100euro inc P&P]..
I repaired the screen on my old inspiron and have a spare in case it's needed in future. I also have a spare battery now and other parts....
stupid is as stupid does as Gump would say....
