I dont mind a quiet respectful engl8sh person but some of them are real ass-holes. The west cork crowd especially.

Some Irish people are real "assholes" especially in West Cork etc.

The "West Brits" and other foreigners in West Cork helped rejuvenate the area 30 odd years ago when a lot of the locals saw little future and emigrated. They set up small businesses, cafes, craft shops etc. Even some of the people who just came and spent a few months here contributed to the local economy.

Of course there was a minority who were basically welfare spongers but they weren't representative.

A lot of the "blow ins" take an active part in local organizations, tidy towns, charities etc.

They've made a mostly positive contribution.
