Default Fred play Indie-Vidual September 18th, Cyprus Avenue!

Coolaboola Events are back with their second installment of 'Indie-vidual', the all-ages afternoon extravanganza, featuring the talents of Fred, Lotus Lullaby and Communal.

Fred are unquestionably one of Corks finest bands. After packing the Operahouse with the launch of their second album 'Making music so you don't have to' ,they sold out the Spiegeltent, played support to Damien Dempsey in the Marquee and will play support to Hal later this month.
Now, after playing at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in the Olympia, Fred are back to let the under-agers of Cork experience the conga-lines, piggy-back guitar solos and songs about vegetables that make Fred the most exciting and above all, fun, live acts at the moment.

They've been compared to the likes of Bowie, Muse, Depeche Mode and U2, however, Cork band Lotus Lullaby produce a sound that is original, exciting and new. Having gigged around the country at the likes of the Hard Working Class Hero's festival and the IMRO Showcase, the band's dramatic live shows have received fanatical receptions from audiences and critics alike. Now they're back in their home town to entertain the fine indie-viduals of Cork.

Communal is a four piece up and coming rock band, based in Dublin, consisting of one New Yorker, two Dub's and an Aussie. Having gigged around Ireland and the UK, and scoring the music for award winning film "Take it Back" in the last year, Communal are gracing us with their rockin' presence at Indie-Vidual, fresh from performing at Dublin's Hard Working Class Heros festival. Their debut album "Passport" will be released in January '06.

Indie-vidual will be held in Cyprus Avenue (above Old Oak on Oliver Plunkett Street) on Sunday, September the 18th. Doors 1.30. Tickets are €10 and €9 with a flier. Tickets onsale from Plug'd, Washington St. and on the door.

The all-ages revolution has arrived, open your ears to it!

Yep the girls know what they are doing, the last two events they did were packed out. Good on 'em, it's tough for non metal bands to get all ages gigs in Cork.

Fred, Lotus Lullaby and Communal in one gig......me thinks there'll be a fair few over-agers at this one.

Well done Ali, Kari, Lorna and Meggles!
