Default Hospital Saturday fund

Question for ye, a friend has a claim with them. But they sent an eft payment for the claim without first confirming bank details, to an acc they had in the history, said acc has since been closed.
They're currently searching for it but an email today says the issue is with my friends acc not theirs
This has been going on for the last month if not more, I'm just wondering where would be best to take it further, do they go NCA or small claims....
Any advice would be appreciated, sorry for rambling, hungover to fuck today

I was the fund for over 20 years never ever had a problem, tell your friend to get on to their area rep asap. I think it's still the girl Madden and she is A1

It shouldn't take a month for the payment to be sent back to the originating bank, only days really.

Have they tried contacting the receiving bank to see if it's been returned?

They have no record of it, but hospital saturday apparently use Ulster bank so I'd have my doubts was it even processed right, but in all fairness, if I was to do an eft payment without confirming bank details my head would be for the chopping block

Yeah, the one good thing is this.

If they paid Ulster Bank and Ulster bank say they haven't got it, Its up to them to sort out. You can't expect to chase a no show of a payment made by someone else. The person who made the payment has to chase it, they have the proof they made it not you (or your friend)
