Kilkenny is a FINE town. Not a city mind, but then neither is Galway.

Galway like ffs. Kilkenny is FAR superior.

Jerpoint Abbey, Thomastown, Inistioge, Nicholas Mosse, Kilkenny Castle, the Smithwicks Experience, the Tholsal, the Black Abbey, the Watergate, Kytlers Inn, the Left Bank, the Hole in the Wall etc.

I started running out of places towards the end of that list which is why I threw a few pubs in, but the moral of the story is that Kilkenny is a tremendous spot and Galway is a dump that will hopefully become detached from Ireland and drift off into the Atlantic at some stage.

What's all the hatred... part deux

Spent a couple of years in Tuam a long time ago.
Galway city, yes city, was great craic, and Galway people in general are/were fantastic.
A bit like Cork people, I love them all.

I'm a soft touch, me

No I havn't, we had a work thing there around 2 years ago but it was above my pay grade. I have actually been to Mount Juliet though! Didn't stay there like, but I was there for a luncheon.

Is that where you were assaulted?

No I was only there for a coffee. It was on the street in Kilkenny by some drunk fool.

We stopped off for lunch in Tuam and the Saw Doctors came on everyone singing along. Lived in Galway for three years, went all round The Burren and Connemara. Beautiful place.

There's more than one street in Kilkenny. Not much more than one street, but there's a few.

If you havn't had a late night in Langtons, you havn't lived. The kind of place the Skeff could only dream of being.

The Sawdocter lads were in a punk band originally, I forget the name, hung out in Gay Brownes.
