Cork, as a city, has a Lord Mayor.

The town of Galway, as a larger version of Mallow, has a Mayor.

You are fake news.

Sure that shithole is only Mallow with a few extra roundabouts

The most overrated town in Ireland by a country furlong.

What's all this hatred towards Mallow. I spent a grand few years there.

The Rakes of Mallow (pub);
Mona's (pub);
The pub a couple of doors down from Mona's that I cant remember the name of (pub);
The Nazi (pub);
The one beside the Clock House (pub);
The two pubs over the bridge that I can't remember the names of (pubs);
The Clock House that I spent a couple of weeks sleeping in(not a pub);
The Majestic (don't ask);
Mary, Annie... (not pubs, but spent time in...)

There's no hatred towards Mallow.

Mallow is a fine regional town on the road between the cities of Cork and Limerick.

Galway is also a regional town, but it sees itself as the cultural capital of the Atlantic, a place where artists and charlatans are kings, where tap dancers are celebrities, and where the only pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is Larry the Yank who has come to trace the rest of the O'Flaherty family, and honors them by buying a t-shirt in every pub he visits while paying over a fiver for a pint of piss, or as they call it locally, "Galway Hooker".

No, there's nothing wrong with Mallow. Mallow is comfortable in its own skin.

Galway on the other hand is a poor man's Kilkenny.

Galway was lovely in the 90s. Kilkenny is a shithole. Someone molested me there one night.
