The person performing the ceremony can make or break it. Was at one that was really good and relevant. However I was at one that was disorganised. Yer wan hadn't done her homework on the couple at all. By the end of it I think I was married the the cousin of the bride.

Pegleg have you considered either the glucksmann or the crawford art galleries?

Both are available for civil ceremonies afaik and there is plenty of space in either.

As for a celebrant, my cousin had a humanist ceremony last year and the woman who did it was brilliant. Ceremony was in Wexford so not sure if the celebrant travels to Cork but will ask my cousin and PM you details if she does.

Thanks for your suggestions, the Glucksman hadn't crossed my mind. I have the Triskel now so I am happy.
Went to one in the Crawford in November, it was great.....difficult to hear with accoustics though.
