Worryingly Neptune might actually have been better with Terry instead of Ronnie Clarke last year, despite the fact that he's in his 40's.

The season is still a few weeks away, first week in October. Before that Neptune's annual preseason tournament for the southern teams will be our first proper look. Demons look like being strong again, especially if they learn how to win close games. No idea at all how Neptune are going to pan out. The ceiling is high, but there's a lot of miles on some of the legs out there.

Pity about Waterford, which means there'll be three from five make the playoffs in the south, which is far too easy. If one more team is lost it'll be back to the standard league format.
