Like there is zero reason why a protest like this needs to happen. It's just self serving nonsense.
The CMO was clear in his advice, now is NOT the time for organising mass gatherings.

RTE , Irish Times, Examiner, Journal etc are absolutely toothless they didn't hammer this march and those behind it.

Niall Boylan is the only media figure I heard today to echo the publics disgust at those who attended yesterday.

Absolutely mental that they are planning this. Can see a backlash coming against them. MB saying they'll social distance, not a hope.

Our own local radio DJs will wait and see what way public opinion is blowing before they decide to properly weigh in on it

Did you just pluck that out of your arse?

Here take a look

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has reported that road deaths for 2019 increased from last year. Their figures show that 148 people lost their lives in 2019, compared to 142 in 2018, a 4% rise. The RSA said 2018 was the safest recorded year on Irish roads.

The covid figure is 1650 and we've only had it for 3/4 months.

2/3 of covid deaths are in nursing homes, u can take it that none of these people are driving my friend and have 1 2 3 or more underlying conditions, with respect, any one of these conditions could have been a reason for their death, a woman on the radio during the week had an uncle with dementia and copd, he was given days to live, she went to see him a few hours before he died and then for some strange reason they decided to do a covid test, I mean the man was 3 hours from death and they do a covid test, they then put him down as a covid death, if u are not in a nursing home u have a better chance of dying in a car crash. The regular flu has killed as many people.I'm working in a warehouse in which 100s of people are interacting with each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no one is wearing masks or gloves and no one is social distancing as it is just not practical and NO ONE has been out with this virus yet, make of that what you will.

Did you really try and defend your statement?

Ok lets take these 2/3 out and see where we are

1654/3 = 551.33 over 4 months equivalent to 1654 over 12 months but lets forget about that.

Now which is bigger, 551 deaths from Covid over 4 months or 148 road deaths over 12 months?
