Default Windsor park 1993

Watched programme on RTE last night looking back at North v republic
in world cup qualifier in 93, The game was played with the back drop of the shankill road atrocity and the greysteel atrocity, It was chilling to remember
the poisonous atmosphere, the republic players say they never experienced such hatred, Billy Bingham was blamed by many for stirring up the rabble, Big Jack said
" up yours billy" at the end, Jack says he regrets saying it , what i forgot was at the final whistle we were waiting on result of spain v denmark to see if we qualified, Thankfully things have moved on and in fairness the northern ireland official supporters clubs took steps to change things in the wake of that game,
Niall Quinn said Alan mcdonald came to the dressing room and wished the republic well in the finals,

They did one on the Garth Brooks fiasco from a few years ago. It was very good, I recorded it on the old sky plus myself and watched it a few nights ago.

You'd find it on the RTÉ player.

The most surprising thing was the Irish speaker who was a NI supporter.
