M8 of mine did the miniature version. 2 weeks walking.

Fucked if I would do it. Between this and yoga every feen seems to be into the quasi-spiritual mumbo jumbo.

Go down the cliff walk in Ballycotton if you want a nice walk.

I’ve walked parts of pilgrimage walks in Japan. It wasn’t some Shinto/Buddhist thing I was doing. It was an interesting, beautiful walk with a good historical component.

And? You tell people a lot of things here and it's mainly tripe that's ignored so why do think this is any different?

Just on the local scene i can highly recommend driving out past Glenville and visiting the mass rock at chinmeyfield and walking the path (famine road) to the burial ground at doonpeter.

Very beautiful spiritual place...even to the non believer.

Just don't leave anything in your car when you park up 'cos it could be broken into.

You serious? The traveller encampment up the road was cleared out and raised earth banks put in to stop them coming back.

I wasn't necessarily pointing the finger at the travellers but now that you mention it , it was probably them alright.

And yes perhaps now that they are gone it might be safer.

It's still a lonely place though. And although I went there on my own before, I wouldn't do it now.
