Space x will try again to launch the first 60 satellites for their Starlink internet service.

Who the fuck needs insanly costed cable/fibre based rural broadband when decent cheap satellite broadband is just around the corner.

Also they may do the first hopper tests for their new class of huge rocket this month.

Satellite broadband has too much latency. Fine for tv when stream is in one didection

These satellites will be just 300 miles up - I think that current satellites providing broadband are 27,000 miles up. Will that improve the latency?

Also, the SpaceX satellites will be linked together (by laser) to form a network - no idea how this is meant to help the speed, but apparently it will.

Latest space x launch of falcon heavy.

2 side boosters landed ok on land.

Centre booster missed the landing ship.

Satellites launch looks ok.
