The footballers may have to cede Aisake to the hurlers this year, as their need is the greatest, but who knows he is probably capable of doing both codes. Another Ray Cummins???

Galway 14/1

I am off to Cashmans to get some of that 6/1
Hope you didn't take any of that 6s, Cork are freely available at 8/1 with Paddy Powers or Boyles. Mr Cashman knows he can freely cut Cork's price and still attract the casual walk in punters. Crucially Cashmans only go 1/4 odds on the 1,2 e/w bet, which is a disgrace considering everyone else is going 1/2 odds. Basically with Cashmans you get 1.5/1 on Cork reaching the final, whereas Powers and Boyles go 4/1. I actually think 4/1 on Cork to reach the final is a cracking price.

Interestingly the Munster and Ulster provincial winners are due to meet in the semis this year, so potentially Kerry/Cork and Tyrone/Derry to meet at the last four. Losing in Killarney wouldn't be the end of the world potentially if we got a couple of kind draws in the qualifiers and ended up on the other side of the draw with Mayo/Galway/Dublin, each of whom I would fancy us to beat.

In todays Indo in his article "rebels with a cause" Colm Keys tips Cork to win the football All Ireland. The only team to beat Cork in the championship in the past five years is Kerry. and only two teams have beaten Kerry in the championship during the same period namely Tyrone and Cork,---food for thought!

Cork Football team for Sunday is:-

Quirke, Carey, Shields, Lynch, Miscella, Canty, Spillane, O Connor, Murphy, O Flynn, O Neill, Kerrigan, Goulding, Masters, O Connor.

Looks like a very strong 15. Good mixture of youth and experience - Very strong spine - We are good enough to go all the way, this year.

Is Noelie injured or just dropped ?

I rate Miscella and its great to see him injury free. Spillane has rediscovered his form and confidence and could have a big year.

Looks a great FF line.

You've got some great players that can come it, as well - Cussen, Noelie, Colm O Neill, Sheehan, Hayes, Kavenagh, Gould, O Sullivan

Still think we are short a few real tough guys if anything was to happen to Canty or Pearse o Neill we would be in trouble. Kerry unlike recent yrs will be going all out to win Munster and avoid a few big guns in the qualifiers it would be great to finish off this decade with an All Ireland in the bag . How many counties have won all irelands in the last 4 decades Cork 73 Cork 89 Cork 90 Cork 09 ?
