Some going but the setting actually beats stradbally and any of the other estates festivals are held on.

Great people and great chilled vibe and the crowd was actually way older the +21 age limit set on it and not a bit of trouble.

Music wise Roisin Murphy, Villagers Chaka Khan Underworld all great but for me Nils Frahm stole the show .

Its great to have Arcadia back in Ireland aswell and they have been long missed and the place was hoping all 3 nights.

New Power Generation was a bit of a let down the played very little of Princes early stuff which is a bit baffling given how popular its become again.

They are supposedly expanding by 5,000 next year but the estate is enormous and there is huge room for expansion i doubt it will feel too overcrowded with the bigger numbers.
where did you hear they hope to increase numbers by 5000?
Hope that's not true. Think it would be pretty noticeable increasing by 33%. Would like to see it at least repeat that side of it for next year. 12-15000 or whatever it was seemed spot on.

absolutely brilliant weekend. Setting and the site itself was so well laid out and set up. Great atmosphere there with little or no dickheads falling around the place. Considering you could bring in cans to main arena at any time that says something about the crowd.

Nils Frahm was fucking amazing. Highlight for me aswell. The set was perfect for a festival at that time of night. Obviously breaking out subtle piano pieces was not gonna be part of the show. Saw him in NCH a couple of years back and went in thinking there was no way he could come close to matching it, but he pulled it off. He seemed genuinely taken aback with the crowd reaction at the end too.

But yeah, deadly weekend.

Was chatting to a security fella Saturday morning about it and he pointed to where next years campsite would be which is the bottom part of the of the really nice hill that is dotted with the trees .

I see what you are saying but the estate is huge is and will be able to spread out that capacity alot, unlike body and soul who tried the same thing but the site became way too overcrowded.

I wouldnt be too worried, the picnic worked its way up in size back in the day and it really was only maybe 2011 on where they brought back day tickets where it felt too crowded ( on the sunday anyway)

I was at All Together Now at the weekend, very impressed with the set up for it's first year. You can tell John Reynolds and POD behind it,very much like the early days of EP;loads of families with kids at it;I stayed in Tangerine Fields pre-pitched tents, nice crowd there;you can bring own beer into main arena, apart from Bulmers,no big brands, all local craft beers:enough bands and acts overall, would like some more choice if going next year;but probably a fact of all the festivals on the same weekend.Roisin Murphy,Mura Masa,Nils Frahm were my highlights, but the main stage had great sound overall, also enjoyed Fleet Fixes,Underworld and the First Aid Kit.A welcome festival on the Irish scene for sure,it's down for the next 10 years so will definitely go again

My review of All Together Now, more a volunteering experience but I get into the music by Saturday if you don't like too much detail. https://niallmcquaid.wordpress.com/2...stival-review/
