Phranque
I spotted this today
http://www.expansys.ie/meizu-m2-note-grey-279468/

any pro's / cons to it

Like does it come with built in chinese state monitoring of all my comms or something ?
I only ask cause I prefer that processing power to be offloaded to the " Who Are We ?" kit around the network like .

Any info appreciated ..

Looks fine actually.. Its an upper mid range phone, that mediatek processor is nerfed by a power management setting, so it'll never be lightning fast unless you root the phone. I'd try to find out the mha of the battery too. Running 8 cores even at a low setting, you'd need about 1800 - 2000mha to get a day out of the battery.

The 3/4g bands are okay for Ireland/Europe too, and 2g of ram should mean you can run whatever apps.

So.. In short, check the OS, make sure its stock android or CyanogenMod, and check the mha of the battery.

Looks like a grand phone too, unless you want to drop 1k on a samsung/apple yoke.

Slightly off-topic: if you have a Cyanogen phone, can you run all your android apps seamlessly and can you access Google's playstore?

My Android phone backs up everything up to servers somewhere: would you have the same facility if you are running Cyanogen?

I've a Oneplus one, running Cyanogen 12, and yes, it backs up everything/ contacts etc to google, and the play store works perfectly.

I also haven't had an app fail on me yet, it seems much more robust than the Samsung "touch wiz" shit I was stuck with before.

Would recommend it, really mad the amount of customization stuff you have on the phone.

Hope it works out fya Wally, I'd try them, smart phones that don't need to do anything ultra fancy are just as reliable as the thousand euro bendy screen yokes you see advertised everywhere.

Looks really good actually, 3100mha will get you 30 hours or so unless you're a foodie cunt with a large twitter presence, but you seem like a sound enough feen to me, so yeah, this phone looks gr8 m8.
