In fairness they are a great help to people at times, but....

Does it not depend on who exactly is buying these raffle tickets and in what number.

If, for instance, half the tickets sold are bought by CU workers then they must be UNlucky if their winning only 30% of the prizes. The article doesn't say what percentage of tickets were bought by CU workers but admit there's a very high percentage (85%) of CU workers take part in these draws.

And before anyone asks, no I don't take part in such draws and am unaware of anybody, CU worker or not, who won such raffles.

Just seems the article is a bit sensational and missing a vital piece of information

I very much doubt the ratio of staff to members is 30%, in fact it is probably a less than 1%. If this is the case staff members would have to buy over 30 tickets to each one a member bought which is highly unlikely don't you think?

I always get a huge whiff of nepotism when I go in there but in fairness what bank nowadays will hand you out €1000 in cash at short notice
