Default Huaweii P20 gone to SHIT after update

I have a Huawei P20 which I got early in the year, and it's been an excellent phone.

Until it updated the fucking system a few days ago and is now fucking SHIT

Slow, freezing, apps crashing, Camera not opening. The whole lot.

Anyone else have experience of this, and any suggestions before I fuck it into the Irish Sea?

And anyone who's thinking of a "lol stop watching porn" or "lmao they're listening to you m8" can take a very long walk off a short pier.

Plz help

That's the Chinese servers just trying to keep up to date with your traffic. Don't worry, the glitch in the matrix will soon right itself

The Android you get on your phone is derivative of Android developed by your phone manufacturer, developed to their benefit (can't delete Facebook, updates to enable planned obsolescence, etc).

Lineage OS is an open source project that is like a bare bones Android for your phone, giving you much more control over your phone, like what apps you can add and more importantly delete.

It's a bit more involved in setup at first but it will save you a new phone for another few years. If it's too above your head, pay someone €20-50 to do it for you if the phone is worth rescuing.

On a side note, doing the same with linux will do the same and add years to an old laptop or desktop.

Feel free to ask me any more questions

In your case you'd get everything you need here:
