Default Happy Transgender Day of Visibility

Enjoy all

Today is TDOV – Transgender Day of Visibility.
Unlike Transgender Day of Remembrance, which occurs on November 20 every year, today is not a day for mourning.

Most of us don't actually like trans day of visibility since being too visible means we might get beaten up. It happened to me a few weeks back on douglas street, and it's not the first time.

The other day we have because you guys(cis people) keep killing us which I think is fair enough.

Question folks: There was a woman on The last word a few weeks back talking about a survey on gay teenagers and bullying. She kept using the acronym LGBTI... can someone confirm what the I is for? Is it a new/recent addition? Matt said LGBT a few times and she made the point of correcting him on it.

Intersex. There's some debate on whether or not to include it.

The full acronym would be more accurate LGBTQI, with Q for queer as a catch all for other stuff. Sometimes an A is included for asexual people. We're trying to work on a better term atm. I rarely ever say LGBT anymore, I usually say "queer and trans".
