Could you explain that theory on your part....where have Sinn Fein been linked to her other than recognise what she really was...a good journalist among a nest of incompetents on Denis O Briens payroll!

Well, for one thing she took part in the Sinn Fein 2014 summer school in Baile Bhuirne.

Investigative journalists Gemma O’Doherty and Frank Connolly spoke in-depth about their work and how they were demonised by the political Establishment for the stands they took on real issues in the public interest.

The SF justice spokesperson has spoken out in her defence in the past also.

Quote:
Sinn Féin justice spokesperson, Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has called on the management at the INM Group to answer questions about the removal of the journalist, Gemma O' Doherty from her position at the Independent group of newspapers

Nothing sinister here but it does show that she is very well thought of by SF which is what I was suggesting.

She is a brave young journalist, similar to Eilis O Hanlon in fearlessly speaking truth to power.

No surprise that the Best Victims Ever are out like a shot (pun intended) trailing their own victimhood in tandem.

What you won't find happening here though is the cult-like, on-message, "blame the victim" disgusting carry on that we witnessed from the Shinnerbots in the Mairia Cahill case.

Neither will you find the provo sympathiser tactic which demands a courtroom conviction as the only acceptable proof of wrong-doing when it comes to one of their own, when in this case there is an out of court settlement.

The Best Victims Ever will be disgusted.

I am glad that Gemma O Doherty has been vindicated today and that she took a sizeable wedge from INM for her troubles.
I only realised that after posting , my post above is edited as you can see . Mea culpa.

The woman was let go unjustly. Today she settled her case. End of.

Also, did you not wonder what the second post in the thread was about?

Whattabouttery central for the Victims party.

I merely pointed out that normal people wouldn't be setting about victimising the victim.
She was'nt let go unjustly , they tried to shut her up from following a story she was on . Big difference.

I'm not disputing or minimising why she was fired.
