Default Catching Crabs

So herself and some friends want to go catch crabs to eat.

Eurosaver sell handlines/weight and bait bags for like 3 euro.

So where to catch crabs.

Im thinking off the quay wall at ballycotton.

Anybody know some good spots.

I wouldn't bother trying to catch them, the shellfish lads down in Castletownbere are doing a sterling job and I believe they are supplying Lidl now too.

Any pier wall, you will find them. Deepwater Quay Cobh. Ballycotton. Youghal.

I didn't realise that these type of crabs (shore crabs) were edible, but it seems they are. You would want a fair few to make a meal . . .
