This is a shock as it has always done great business since the Peters family opened it. Who owns it now?
Bishopstown/Wilton becoming a bit of a ghost town for bars and restaurants now. The Viscount, The Wilton, Dennehys and The Rendezvous leaving only The Bishopstown Bar and The Outpost to slate residents thirsts. Strange when you think the area is quite well populated and people there tend to have money. Well, at least they used to. What's changed?

It is not sold yet and any new hotel/bar will have a big restaurant element anyway. Drinking habits have changed and land is more valuable for a mixed use higher density development. Is the Rendevous open again? There are a few ok restaurants in the area and the usual slew of pizza/fast food places etc.

Are you saying that people in the area are now drinking less or what?
The Wilton was the first decent carvery restaurant to open in the area. Viscount and Bishopstown Bar then started doing food.
Hard for me to understand the drop in demand for decent pubs and restaurants in the area to be honest with you.

It's a first for me.

I don't think I've ever read a review for a place that has shut.
What a plug.
