Default Talking in circles on radio sports shows

On Newstalk's Saturday afternoon sports show they've just spent about 25mins talking about some minor incident that happened in the Liverpool V Oldham game.

Apparently a fan (might have) allegedly shouted a racist comment at a black player. The presenter is making up questions for his phone in guest journalists that even the guests are struggling with.

He asked some Scottish journalist if the incident had happened two years ago if it would have had a bigger impact. The poor fucker had to ask him why he said two years and the presenters says 'just an arbitrary period of time really'. There are about two facts available for the story yet they are still talking about it.

I've never heard such hilarious talking about nothing. Sports journalism at this level is a load of bollocks really.

They're "good" at it on RTE's champion's league too, trying to drag out commentary on a nil-all game champions league game for about 45 mins.

The premiership really is a joke. How Irish people "follow" a corporate "club" is really incredible.

ps: I'm in a situation where I don't have a choice of station!

Munstershire and Leinstershire?

And if you did some research you would see it was not a minor incident. Well that is if you think Racist abuse is minor.

I don't even listen to the radio. They are all morons.

I prefer to pop in a Phil Coulter CD.

His music is very stirring.
