Default Liverpool need Owen badly

Watched the Sunderland match today. We deserved to win but a lacklustre win at that.

Cisse wasted a fair few that Owen would bury. The two of them would be a great partnership. Both speedy and Cisse needs to learn how to finish better.

It seems everyone at Anfield wants Owen except for Benitez. Maybe he's waiting for Baros to go. His inaction here could prove very costly in the future.

Gerrard and Owen together again would be fantastic. They have a special understanding.

I think for Benitez, it more that he wants a central defender and right sided midfielder (I notice Solano was benched today).

I imagine he would be ok with Owen if it didn't stop him from getting those positions sorted.

shit match, i turned over to watch Laois get annhilated by the filthy Armagh scuts.

I repeat my point about not rating Cisse, he's not a top quality forward, ye'd be better off holding onto Milan.

there's aload that have gone back...

Ian Rush
Teddy Sheringham
Pat Morley
Steve Staunton went back to Liverpool as well

Cisse would be better off playing up front with a partner rather than out right thats why we need a winger Sissoko is a central midfielder.

Morientes is looking good though himself and Owen would be an ok partnership.

I have a theory as to why Benitez doesn't want him back:he's still pissed with him over the way he left us on the eve of last season.
I don't blame him actually, it was a real low stroke:leaving just before the end of the transfer deadline so Benitez had no time to sign a replacement.
But I'd say that was more Owen's agents' doing than Owen himself. Tony Stephens is his name I think (prick).
Benitez doesn't seem like a vindictive man I know but maybe he's thinking to himself "revenge is a dish best served cold".
Personally I have no sympathy for Owen and would not want him back.
He made his bed 12 months ago and now he has to lie in it.Tough.
