Anybody else think that Barcelona's goal tonight wouldn't have stood in the PL? Surely the ultra efficient PL VAR technology would have spotted an armpit hair of Semedo's to be offside.

Imagine if Vardy's toe or shoulder were 1mm offside.

You love to see goals ruled out

...like a fuckin hole in the head.

Yeah that’s what prompted me to bump this thread.

Someone needs to at least explain clear and fucking obvious to these clowns.

If it takes three minutes and drawing 250 lines, it’s not clear and it’s not FUCKING OBVIOUS.

That doesn't apply to offside.

Meant to post here but put it in the Arsenal thread by mistake,

I quite like the German method of letting the ref check out the replays.

I have a question though - if a ref sees a deliberate handball from the defensive team in a VAR where a goal has been scored, can he let the goal stand or does he have to give the penalty?

Something like this happened in the German FA cup final. The ref disallowed the goal at first because it was against Bayern, then on the VAR it was clear a Bayern player had handled it. Did the ref have to give the penalty or could he have allowed the goal?
