Ireland will have to call in the EU Army to fight off the Billy Boys from the Shankill.

Why? I thought their mantra was political violence was always unjustified in a democratic society? Or do they get a free pass?

DUP politicians might have said that but the knuckledraggers in the UDA/UVF might have other ideas.

There's a cross-pollination between DUP and UDA/UVF westie.

As for paying for it, it pays for itself. As has been proved on numerous occasions there will be a 38 billion euro dividend to untiedness or unity and that is before the EU wade in like they did for Germany.

Last week they already signed that on unification a united Ireland will automatically be an EU member.
No it hasn't you just didn't read that article you posted fully, it stated the 38 billion was over a 5 yr period and right down at the bottom in nearly small print it said it did not include the yearly subsidy NI receives of 11 billion which over 5 yrs is 55 billion.

I would also question some of the assumptions in arriving at the 38 billion, namely there will be synergies for trade between both of us, we already have frictionless trade as part of the EU, therefore, in terms of trade we already are one entity so how can there be synergies on this front?

I too would vote for a united Ireland but I won't kid myself into thinking it will be costless or even more delusional we will be better off economically.

I don’t want it to happen if it’s going to draw that Loyalist crowd on top of us. Racist bigots. I never really gave a shite about it tbh.
