Default The "nice place for a stroll" thread

Given that the summer is here, allegedly, I have been trying to get out for a few walks in the evenings and weekends.

Over the last few weeks i have been to
Farran Woods
Killeagh Woods
Marlogue Woods
(see a pattern here!)
Cliff walk in Ballycotton
Rocky bay
Lee fields.

Give me idea for other nice places for a stroll please.

(Yes, i am old and yes i am boring - what of it)

I'm never a fan of walking in woods. In Winter they are cold and damp. In summer they keep the sun off.

But if you're into woods, two more to add to your list ar Currabinny Woods near Ringaskiddy and Rostellan Woods near Midleton.

Otherwise, there are load of walks around the coast.

I think the path from Weaver's Point to Crosshaven is closed because of erosion, which is a pity.

There's a cliff walk by Robert's Cove.

Kinsale has a few.

Scilly to Summercove
Charles Fort to the boatyard and beyond
Sandycove

There are tons more as well, but I could be all day writing them

the walk out by blarney is a nice walk.

youghal beach is a nice walk

if you don't mind doing a little hill walking, the ardmore cliff. again if you don't mind the one or two hills you have to climb, but it's nice walk and love views

Roberts Cove to Rocky Bay along the cliffs/fields is good at this time of year. Nohoval Cove and paths around there.
Fountainstown to Minane Bridge past the dam at low tide (wear wellies) and if you want to walk back to Fountainstown just go as far as the Dam. Or the same from Minane Bridge side.
Myrtleville to Fennells Bay then up over old Templebreedy Church and down into Church Bay.
The Crosshaven to Carrigaline river walk.

Some might be a bit far to be walking back from but can be split up.

jesus matty i cant think of the name of the woods. it is about a mile out of the town. it goes right around in a full circle as well and is lovely and handy as you can start and finish at your car.

it is about 4 years since i was there. we used it to train as a football team.

anyone else help us out here?
