Default Congratulations Matt Doherty

Matt Doherty has come out and said in public what he thought of Roy Keane and fair play to him for saying what I guess many more people in football had not got the guts to say . Are there any other people in football who have come out and spoken out against Keane ?

We are all sick and tired of listening to Keane having a go at people now somebody has had a go at him how does he like it himself ?

Was Keane not a fan of him wearing gloves as well?

Doherty has more reason to feel aggrieved than Harry Arter that's for sure!

Listened to the interview. He really spent most of the time having a pop at MON for his lack of preparation. As for Keane, Doherty didn’t know what he was, that he played a secondary role, not being manager the big calls weren’t his.

In same interview, Kevin Doyle explained that in his last 5 years at club level he saw the match preparation change to a situation where everyone knows their exact place and role beforehand, absolutely nothing is left to chance, everything is drilled into the players.

MON and RK I think saw their role as to rock up, access who’s fit, sharp and up for it, announce the starting eleven an hour before kickoff and let them as professionals figure it out from there.

Shoddy. How can we hope to get the most from a limited squad if training is so basic?

I look at the level of players in the Irish squad and I think we need to consider that O Neill worked wonders to do as well as he did.

In the last twelve months O Neill has been missing Coleman, McCarthy and Brady for months on end. These are the closest by some distance we have to top quality players the rest are by and large a motley crew of reserves and championship players.
