Default New Manic Street Preachers Album & Tour

Off the back of a savage last record (Journal For Plague Lovers) and blinding tour;

No Irish date as yet. Balls. Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester it is then.

Awaits imminent Manics bashing and name calling.

Support is British Sea Power.

I like two of their albums.

Any good live? A few people have said that they are.

Played CA twice. Supposed to be brilliant.

I sadly missed them, but they're, for me, one of the best bands of the last 10 years. Terrific.

Amazing live band, and I don't say that lightly. I walked in during their soundcheck for last year's gig and even that was outstanding. Fantastic pairing for manics tour. Cheers for the heads up for this, and Interpol!

Loved the last album, hope it's not too 'poppy' They are better when they are pissed off.

Quote:
James Dean Bradfield said that the album would be an unashamedly pop-orientated affair following 2009's bleak 'Journal For Plague Lovers'.

"We're going for big radio hits on this one," he told NME. "It isn't a follow-up to 'Journal For Plague Lovers'. It's one last shot at mass communication."

No bother. Should be a good month for gigs.

Agreed. The last album was their best since "The Holy Bible".

I read somewhere that this album will sound like "a cross between Motown, Van Halen, Alice In Chains and Big Star". Good Jaysis!

Lead single;

I like it. Nobody else that I've played it for does.

I don't care.

The Manics have been added to the "Arthurs Day" list of acts, this one is in James Gate.
