As always im still tryin to piece together a band and i decided it might be a good idea to look for a female vocalist as there are so few alternative bands with 1, but to make it clear im talking more Yeah Yeah Yeahs than Evanescence here. If u could play an instrument that wud be even better but all u really need is a love of music, melody and performing (oh and the ability to sing).
