Dolly, you know, you'd love Pere-Lachaise cemetery.

Used to visit there regularly when I lived there. Beautiful place, calm, soothing, with some amazing people buried there.

I really look forward to trying to pronounce these places.

'Sorry dere, can you direct us to Place De Feen, sil vous plait'.

I arrived into Gare Du Nord last year and asked in my best french "How do I get into central London"?
The look of disgust of her face.

If it's French men you want to salivate over pretty much anywhere in Paris should do, no?

Edit: The question was for OD.

D'Or wouldn't dream of such a thing....

Anyone know the scéal with the Moulin Rouge - I've no interest, to be honest.
no idea. Me and my one did go to a strip club not far from it. Usual Pigalle carry on and they tried a scam. Not worth the bobs anyway. Place Blanche nearby is where to go for bars etc.
Crazy Horse Saloon may be a better choice for a show. It is just off the Champs Elysée.

Versailles is always worth visiting. Beautiful to stroll around.

I was in Paris for 4 days a few weeks ago.

Bars;

UFO - Rue Jean Pierre Timbaud - Excellent for Rock n' Roll, Rockabilly. Vintage decor (not in a cheesy way, actual vintage stuff). Happy hour, cocktails, friendly staff.

L'Orange Mécanique - Rue Jean Pierre Timbaud - Up the street from UFO. A few doors down from an excellent family run bakery. Indie/Rock, happy hour, cocktails wine.

Au Petit Garage - Across the road from L'Orange Mécanique. Grungy and grimy which I don't mind but really rude staff (and not just in a French rude way, no fucking manners at all). Cheap beer and good tunes though.

Planéte Mars
- Rue Keller - Pretty cool dive bar serving some of the strongest Cuba Libres I've ever tasted. Dr Feelgood, a pretty generic rock bar (loadsa drink specials though - if you're on a budget), is across the road.

Both Planéte Mars/Dr. Feelgood are on a side street off of Rue De la Roquette which has reams of bars, cafés clubs and restaurants.

Café;

Sesamé
- Quay de Valmy (on Canal St. Martin) absolutey deadly place. Had breakfast here (it was around the corner from our hotel). Savage.

Ya that's kinda what I thought - I don't know why they're keen to go there. I'm really not. I'd just like to go to decent bars like listed above, not tourist traps.
